Mendoza is located next to the snow covered Andes Mountains, just a few hours from the border of Chile. The dry climate makes it ideal for the world-famous grape plantations, which almost stands for  70% of Argentina’s wine production. This is a mecca for  wine lovers, but also for whom want to know more about the actual process of the wine and how it is made. Rent a bike one day and go around to different wineries, taste diffrent wines and get a guided tour around the factory. Choose to visit the smaller family owned vineyards to the larger well known that export their fine wines around the world. This is an experience you rarely forget! On the way through the Andes to the Chilean border you get to see the incredibly beautiful mountainous landscape in which “Cerro Aconcagua”, America’s highest mountain rises with its 6962 meters above sea level. For the trained and a bit more courageous traveler Aconcagua is a mountain that can be climbed, however, it requires many years of experience in climbing and a lot of good physics in order to master this huge mountain. Mendoza is also a perfect place for those who enjoy both winter and summer sports, where there is both access to wonderful ski slopes and lakes to practice windsurfing, kayak paddling or why not horse riding or golf? From Mendoza, you are also close to visit other  beautyful provinces such as San Juan in the North and San Luis in the east of Mendoza province.
