Buenos Aires, both Argentina’s and the tango’s vibrant capital, with its 12.5 million inhabitants is the country’s largest city. In this cosmopolitan city, where the pulse never seems to end is the cultural and historical exchange huge. The city’s architecture is very similar to European cities, while the South American atmosphere shines through. Stroll around in “La Boca” and among the colorful tin houses and take the opportunity to go and watch a football game at Boca Juniors home stadium and get caught up in the Argentine football feast. San Telmo offers you a lot of the local culture, the number of restaurants and tango halls where the locals “Porteños” are crowding is great. Here you can see some of the many tango-dancing couples on the streets or visit the big Sunday market to buy some real Argentine handcraft. Palermo, Buenos Aires answer to Soho, is the more exclusive and picturesque part of Buenos Aires. Excellent for shopping, stroll around or a visit one of the many bars that is almost always full of both locals and curious tourists.
