Rosario is a great city to visit and study Spanish in. Not just because of the city and the fact that it has a lot to offer, but also because it’s a good starting point if you want to travel to other parts of Argentina, since it is located in the center of the country.

The school in Rosario is located in the center with walking distance to the main street where a number of restaurants, cafés and bars are located. It is also close to the river where many people take the afternoon to enjoy the breezy winds from the river or just sit down in the grass drinking some traditional Mate*. In Rosario you can feel both the pulse but also the calm feeling of being in a smaller town.

*Mate is a traditional tea-like drink consumed mainly in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Mate is served with a metal straw from a shared hollow calabash gourd. The flavor of mate is strongly vegetal, herbal, and grassy, reminiscent of some varieties of green tea.
